According to The Lima News, Emily Schnipke, an Ottawa-Glandorf senior, is an artist, dancer, and captain of the Titan Brass marching band color guard. She enjoys the creative aspects of both visual and performing arts.
“I like drawing and painting, and I really like music and the creative side of dance and color guard, but I also like all the friends I've made in band and dance,” she said. “I come up with routines for the fair show and random songs for football games. I consider it like an art, like dance. They go hand in hand.”
Along with color guard, Emily serves as an officer in the Art Club, is a member of the Key Club, plays clarinet in the concert band, and tutors at Glandorf Elementary School.
Schnipke said she plans on having a career in marketing. “I'd like to go into advertising, like design, but I think I'd also like coming up with slogans and campaigns. We did a project like that in Money Matters class, and that was a lot of fun.”
